I am a team-oriented person — as evidenced by the fact that I have played soccer for most of my life. There is something special about being a part of a team. Fallon S. Sheridan is a member of our dedicated team of experienced Environmental, Toxic Torts, and Consumer Protection attorneys. She felt compelled to join us when Ms. Sheridan learned her position involves working on our Camp LeJeune contaminated water litigation.
My Family Believes in Serving Our Communities
“I come from a family of cops and veterans,” Ms. Sheridan says. “Many of my family members have devoted themselves to serving their communities and those around them.”
Ms. Sheridan adds, “I particularly feel for the veterans who were exposed to water contamination while stationed at Camp LeJeune. This hits pretty close to home for me. I want to do everything I can to help people who have spent their lives helping their communities.”
She continues, “I am helping with the Roundup weed killer litigation, too. The people most harmed by this dangerous product are farmers and others who serve their communities. Although the health damage that Roundup has caused our clients cannot be undone, I hope that achieving justice through this litigation will offer some way of helping our clients move forward.”
Helping People Hurt by Environmental Pollution
“Over the years, I have seen how environmental toxins can hurt people on so many different levels. Poisoned water damages the quality of a person’s daily life, as well as his or her future,” Ms. Sheridan insists.
“Immediate concerns often become long-term and chronic concerns. Spouses, children, unborn children, friends, and colleagues can become sick. I have made it my goal to help members of our community unsuspectingly harmed by environmental toxins.”
Ms. Sheridan points out, “Dangerous and poisonous chemicals can damage the food we eat, the water we drink, the crops we grow, and the air we breathe. The more I delve into the injuries resulting from environmental pollution, the more I realize how much our communities can be harmed and how much I want to help.”
At Weitz & Luxenberg, she explains, “I am excited to join such a highly dedicated group of attorneys working to help people harmed by toxic environmental pollution and to protect consumers from dangerous products and resulting damage. Our communities deserve better.”
Prior Relevant Legal Experience
Before joining us at Weitz & Luxenberg, Ms. Sheridan worked for a law firm where she served as a law clerk and then as an associate attorney. She drafted legal documents and conducted research on various intellectual property and contract legal issues.
She also gained legal experience as a teaching assistant at Fordham University School of Law in New York City. While there, she advised students on legal writing and reviewed their work.
Ms. Sheridan was a judicial summer intern for the Honorable Paul E. Davison in White Plains, at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
She was also a legal intern for The Law Offices of Elliot S. Kay in the Bronx, N.Y. As part of her role, she conducted research on false arrest matters and wrote case summaries before settlement negotiations.
Another legal internship for Ms. Sheridan was in The Law Office of Matthew J. Kluger, also in the Bronx. At that firm, she conducted legal research on state and federal criminal matters, including murder and fraud.
Earlier in her career, she was a judicial summer intern for the Honorable Ralph Fabrizio at the Bronx County Supreme Court, Criminal Division.
On the Personal Side
Ms. Sheridan passed the bar in New York. She earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law in New York City. She earned her B.A. from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, where she double majored in Near Eastern Languages & Civilizations and English and was a member of the Yale Women’s Soccer team.
Outside the office, Ms. Sheridan continues to love soccer. She also enjoys taking boxing classes. During the pandemic, she took up golf.
