Once again, Best Lawyers has selected Weitz & Luxenberg attorneys as some of the best in the nation. Nine W&L attorneys from our offices in New York and New Jersey have been chosen as Best Lawyers to be listed in the publication’s 2023 edition.
Also, four W&L attorneys based in our firm’s New York office have been recognized as Ones to Watch. This coming year marks the publication’s 29th edition of Best Lawyers, as well as the third edition of its Ones to Watch.
According to W&L co-founders Perry Weitz and Arthur Luxenberg, “Thinking back on our founding and reflecting on how far we’ve come over the past few decades is a supreme privilege. We are proud to be named alongside such a talented and dedicated group of attorneys. The recognition by Best Lawyers in and of itself is an honor. Even more so, when we started, we could not even have begun to imagine how the firm would grow. And, more importantly, how many people we would be able to help. We extend our undying gratitude to our peers who selected us and look forward to the work we will continue to do on behalf of our clients.”
Attorneys Demonstrate Breadth of W&L Experience
The nine W&L Best Lawyers attorneys selected for the 2023 edition are:

All nine are plaintiffs’ mass tort and class action litigation leaders. In addition, both Ms. Relkin and Ms. Greenwald were recognized for Product Liability Litigation – Plaintiffs. Ms. Greenwald is also listed for Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs.

How Best Lawyers Determines Its List
Every attorney on the Best Lawyers list is considered among the best in their field. Selected attorneys are nominated by their fellow attorneys. To be considered, each nominee must have been engaged in private practice for at least 10 years.
Attorneys then have the opportunity to review their nominated peers. Nominated attorneys who receive enough positive votes get added to the list.
Selection is not based on an attorney’s membership or paying dues or fees. Instead, peer reviews determine selection. After attorneys are named in a Best Lawyers publication, they are re-reviewed each year. They remain on the list if their peers continue to support their selection.
Best Lawyers is widespread, publishing in 75 different countries, including the United Kingdom and Canada. Its listings are intended to serve as a dependable and reputable source of referrals for anyone seeking a highly respected attorney.
Up and Coming Attorneys to Watch
Best Lawyers created its list of Ones to Watch just a few years ago. This category makes special note of promising attorneys who are early on in their careers.
Ones to Watch attorneys have been practicing from five to nine years. They, too, are selected by the same process used to name Best Lawyers: peers nominate, peers select, and peers review.
